Doubleday & Cartwright hired me as the UX Lead and Art Director for the redesign of iconic rapper and actor Tupac Shakur's website. This project aimed to create a digital presence that would authentically represent 2Pac's legacy and resonate with his enduring fan base.
To gain deeper insights into Tupac's life and work, I had the privilege of meeting with his long-time friend and manager, Leila Steinberg. This intimate understanding of the artist proved invaluable in shaping the direction of the project, allowing me to build a digital experience that would feel true to 2Pac and his work.
Drawing from these personal insights and Tupac's extensive body of work, I crafted a user experience that captured the essence of 2Pac's artistry and activism. The redesigned website serves as a dynamic platform, showcasing Tupac's music, films, and writings while also highlighting his enduring impact on culture and society. By blending innovative design elements with carefully curated content, we created a digital space that not only honors Tupac's memory but also engages new generations of fans.
